Background
Alethea Gauthier joined Cutler Law Firm as an associate attorney in August of 2025. Alethea graduated from UT Austin in 2020 and received her Master of Public Health from UTHealth the following year. She worked in epidemiology and emergency preparedness before law school and has always had a passion for science. Alethea made the move from Texas to Iowa in 2022 and graduated from Iowa Law in 2025. At Iowa Law, she spent two semesters in the Federal Criminal Defense Clinic and learned how to provide diligent and competent representation to clients. She is now working in workers’ compensation and civil litigation practice for the firm.
Outside of work, Alethea enjoys going to the Des Moines farmers’ market, cooking, chatting with her sister, and reading a good book from the public library. She is also a huge fan of the Texas Longhorns and Iowa Hawkeyes and loves watching sports with her friends.
